# Find TxPool Nonce Gaps

> Compare the latest on-chain nonce with sender nonces in the txpool.

Use `txpool nonce-gaps` when later transactions are queued and you need to know which nonce is missing.

Use [Sender](/docs/txpool/sender) when you want the filtered sender transaction table alongside the nonce gap summary.

## Command

```sh theme={null}
rex txpool nonce-gaps \
  --address 0xf39fd6e51aad88f6f4ce6ab8827279cfffb92266
```

## Example Output

```text theme={null}
TXPOOL NONCE GAPS
Sender:         0xf39fd6e51aad88f6f4ce6ab8827279cfffb92266
On-chain nonce: 1
Pool:
  nonce 2        queued   1 tx
Gaps:
  nonce 1 missing
```

## How to Read It

The command compares:

* the latest on-chain nonce from `eth_getTransactionCount(address, "latest")`
* the sender's nonces currently present in `txpool_content`

If the on-chain nonce is `1` and the pool contains nonce `2`, nonce `1` is the gap. Until nonce `1` is mined or admitted to the pool, nonce `2` cannot become executable.

When no gaps exist, the command prints:

```text theme={null}
No missing nonces between the on-chain nonce and highest pooled nonce.
```
